How can I access library resources from off-campus?
Answer
If you are a current RISD employee or full-time student, your library account enables you to access all the library's online resources (such as eBooks and article databases) from off-campus.
There are two ways to enable this access:
1. Log into your library account. This is great for occasional off-campus use, but may log you out automatically after a while.
2. Install the RISD's VPN software for more prolonged sessions. More info and instructions can be found here in the IT Services portal.
Alternatively, a few tools (such as the New York Times, EBSCO, and JSTOR) allow you to make a personal account from on-campus which can be used from anywhere. Explore our full list of databases here.
